How To: Remove The Farmville Application On Facebook

Help your non-active friends remove the FarmVille application.

We all have friends who have installed Farmville at one time or another and then end up quitting the game. But since they might be real life friends, we do not want to delete them from our friend list. Here are some directions to remove the application.

This will help players in a few ways. The non-actives will not appear on the gifting lists, so there will be no chance of wasting the limited gifts. Truffles will not go unreturned, and those names will not appear on the Daily Good Deeds list.

The non-players will benefit by not having any more Farmville game posts in their news feed, and will not run the risk of being deleted by their game-playing friends out of frustration.

Tip

• If someone changes their mind and wants to play Farmville again, they can add it back with two simple clicks. Everything will be just as they left it because the game progress is saved for 6 months.

Step 1 Go to Account then Application Settings.

Step 2 Click the "X" to the right of Farmville.

Step 3 Click Remove.

Step 4 Complete by clicking Okay.

Now Farmville will no longer be on the Applications list, and it is removed.

Tips

To block unwanted Farmville gifts, go to the Games link on the left side of the home page.

Click Block Farmville, then Okay.

Another method is to go the the Facebook Farmville fan page, and click Block Application.

• To reverse this, go to Account, then Privacy Settings/Block Lists.

Click Edit your lists and scroll down to Blocked Applications.

Click Unblock next to Farmville.
